Indices Down .69% to 1.34%.....

Market is in typical summer doldrums, looking for catalyst to move in either direction.

Internals are negative minimum 4 to 1...

New 52 wk lows are in the lead, in Nasdaq 40 made the list..

Market is trying to go green, which should bolster bulls.....

Oil Down $1.01

Gold UP $27 to close @ record $1785

Canadian $ Down 40 tick @ 101.65

VIX UP 3.17% @ 32.88..still high ..BUT running out of gas ?

In my portfolio :

Bought LULU @ $55.10

Portfolio is LULU,RVBD,AUY...

Here is my $ weighting :

LULU 54.22%

RVBD 30.37%

AUY 15.41%

My exposure is @ 48% of normal

Most stocks are down..

@ 2.14 following are green :

PHYS,GLD,JKS,VAR....

    Hey Saleem,

    It is easy to see negative signs when one is short, and easy to see positive signs when one is long. I added to my QID today given the NASDAQ underperformance, but I am heavily weighted towards a bearish thesis now having basically only UGL and QID--I don't like it...thoughts?

    Hi Stocktrader,

    Some trader do very well in shorting stocks or playing double bear ETF.....

    BUT..those position needs to be closed daily..or else it becomes a major stress....

    I am comfortable in reducing my exposure in this negative market.

    Where market will go nobody knows..but as we go lower..the chance of rally increases.....

    My 2 cents !!!!

    I believe tomorrow will be a key indicator of future direction. I will definitely cover the shorts if we show strength tomorrow after the European "news" is digested by Asian/European markets.

    I might hold the gold regardless, though. It has gone up nicely both yesterday and today during an up and down day. What can make gold go down?

    Hi Saleem,

    So I had RVBD and SVM sold them both early morning and I am glad I did, saved a few percent, I also bought LULU near the close. I don't sit in front of a computer all day but I can check it over lunch and in the morning before work.

    What do you use to monitor all the stocks? Is there a website that is good? right now I am just using goole finance, seems to work fine but just wondering if there is a better solution? Thanks for suggestions.
