  5. Hey Saleem,

I keep buying more and more shippers. Either I'm a genius or a fool--hopefully the former :).

Sold AMZN to buy DRYS--respectively looked like a good chart for a break and a good chart for a breakout.

    If ya bought DRYS
then fast money is mad at ya!! They said not to buy DRYS.

All my research shows that it risky to get the shippers right now

YOu did so good with GNK and FRO! It is still way KKR to get the shippers.. IMHO

I like the story for FORD, KKR .
J Cramer like NAT again! Hmmmm

    Good luck with the shoppers

  7. Hey c,

Karen is understandably conservative with her picks, but she likes a different dry-bulk shipper (Navios I think?) but not DRYS. That's just a case of stock picking--if she had to chose a long or short, I bet she'd be long DRYS--the Baltic Dry Index chart is too positive for earnings power to ignore.

I also think the DRYS chart is particularly compelling for a breakout move.

  8. Hi Stocktrader,

You have done well with GNK, next could be DRYS.....

It is all about your OWN homework, based on that you are allocating $$$$.

    Good luck !!!

  9. Hey Saleem,

Thanks for the kind words! :)

The JKS proceeds earlier today went into more FRO at 5.30 so in total I'm really loaded on shippers (GNK, DRYS, TK, FRO). Some of them are better than others, but I have strong conviction in the forward-looking earnings power. I have almost too much now so I have to stop swapping out of other good stocks. Anyways, I figure it's right about now one of them will do a secondary just to humble me...

Way to go --getting 4 shippers

THe oil shippers is DICEY, IMHO

DRYS and DSX are dry goods, which I have not followed for a while

    Best of luck

  11. Hey c,

My original comments a couple days ago also noted concern on the oil shippers, but your suggestion of FRO made me look more closely at it, and the charts looked very interesting and got me involved. As long as everything continues to work, I'll stick with them.

I have liked FRO and owned it over the past 5 years

But the number of ships available and the number that are idle makes the shippers market dicy right now.

That is why I am shy to get on board (smile) and buy some shares..

If your approach works for you that is great--if I have shared a thought that works out for you than I am happy for that.

I am dense at times--I bought a position in FORD today!
So I am not that smart...
I am hoping that the car sector continues to get healthy and prosper..

    Best to all

  13. Hi All

Isn't it better to buy after a pull back? I think we finally enter that period, but i could be wrong.
