Indices UP .35% to 1.15%......NICE !!!!!

Indices are green after holding support in S&P 500.

S&P 500 had a higher low today.

Economic news were encouraging in US with improving jobless claims.

Oil UP $2.01

Gold Down $36

Canadian $ UP 71 tick @ 98.30

VIX Down 9.6% @ 32.69..this is a very desirable TAPE for bulls, looks very good. Bodes well for close?

In my portfolio :

Sold TLM

Sold JCP

Bought BIDU @ $135.90

Added 125% MS @ $15.90

    Hey Saleem,

    It feels good when you make choices that immediately pay dividends. The two stocks I sold yesterday, ACI and CTSH, are both down again today, while the ones I bought, FRO and GNK, are both up nicely.

    I hope other readers are also doing well today :).

    BAC and AAPL are my only two stocks down today just like last Friday. I should have taken it as a sign then, but should I take it as a sign now? Can I really sell them this low?

    Selling @ loss is always difficult, but IF sentiment is not positive, then it could be a long wait for profitability.

    Hey c,

    Shipping rates crashed in the prior two weeks but have stabilized and are now rallying off the bottom this week for both dry bulk and oily. I do not have enough edge to predict shipping rates going forward, but the rates ticking up coupled with some great price and volume action I saw yesterday midday in the face of a huge market selloff got me involved.
