DOW & S&P 500 closed green, while Nasdaq closed down.

S&P 500 closed @ 1371.97

RSI 45.75

Internals were :

UP volume led by 2.43 to 1 in NYSE & .84 to 1 in Nasdaq

Advancing stocks led by 2.07 to 1 in NYSE & 1.77 to 1 in Nasdaq

52 wk highs were in the lead, 61 in NYSE & 54 in Nasdaq

Oil closed @ $103.55

Gold closed @ $1643.80

VIX closed @ 18.10

    Hey Saleem,

    Although I've pretty much pruned my portfolio to the stocks I want for their earnings either just past or still upcoming, I agree the market still could be vulnerable here and booking profits in AAPL or others on the AAPL-pop is prudent. I'll take a harder look tomorrow when we see some prices.

    I don't like the shippers overall due to the overcapacity, but they are *definitely* oversold. Even something like good old GNK looks ripe for a rise here.

    MS has been behaving poorly after ER......TAPE is weak.

    I think you will be better off in allocating funds elsewhere.

    9 Unsung American Industrial Heroes: 3M (MMM), IBM (IBM), AT&T (T), Honeywell (HON), Eaton (ETN), United Technologies (UTX), Dupont (DD), PPG Industries (PPG), General Electric (GE). Other stocks mentioned: Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB), Goodrich (GR)....

    I sold T, and DD both did OK for me
    just some ideas.

    LVS seems like it will execute v well

    Hey Saleem,

    Sold the MS @ $17.04148. I'm not sure why the weakness, but it doesn't look good--I'll reevaluate upon regaining the 200 DMA.

    I will be gone for the Fed announcement, but I think they will still speak to accomodation if necessary, which may weaken the dollar/help risk assets. I'm looking to add back FCX and buy CLF around now.

    I am not sure about MS
    But I think that all banks re waiting for interest rate
    news.

    From what I was able to read LVS should has stellar
    earning as the China arm is mining $$$$.
