 VIX UP 1.15% @ 13.24

    Hi Stocktrader,

    AAPL was a beat in Q4.....

    Q1 Sales guidance is higher than expected......

    I think the issue is their Gross Margin for this Q & next......

    Hey Saleem,

    You're right--margin is the sticking point, but I think overall the report was good, especially when you factor in a certain amount of underpromise.

    They have so many new products for this holiday quarter that I think the street will continue to be excited for the shares. That said, upside may be limited in the near term while this report is digested.

    Hey Saleem,

    A deferred revenue component to each sale of a device with iOS 7 is affecting their Q1 gross margin guidance by approximately 1.5%. That's the main reason for the pop now--factoring in that, the margin guidance would be above the 37.9% expectations.

    Hey Saleem,

    I got some good news on KORS and LCC in after hours--KORS is being added to the S&P 500 and LCC agreed to mediation with US regulators concerning their merger. Finally some good news for the portfolio--it's been rough on some fronts recently.
