Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteI've been chasing YELP down the last half hour trying to get a good sell price.
I think the risk/reward is shifted against the company since the consensus is completely thinking this quarter will be great given their very nice last quarter and FB's outstanding earnings. I don't think there's much short interest at all.
I will get out no matter what price by close.
Stocktrader
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteSold YELP @ 74.97.
Just my luck it'll report the greatest quarter of all time now.
Stocktrader
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteI wonder if SODA is a buy down 20% here based on the KO/GMCR partnership/stake purchase. Surely PEP needs a partner now?
Stocktrader
Hi Stocktrader,
ReplyDeleteSODA fundamental is challenged big time.......not an idea to make money.....because GMCR is getting in their business?
Saleem
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I bought some in my trading account at 31.10 but already sold it (31.83). Although PEP might come in, they might also not, so it's really a gamble.
Stocktrader
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteAdd another earnings miscue to my quarter...YELP looking great. I've been watching the after hours action the whole time--it must be the slowest action ever for a YELP earnings report but keeps crawling higher.
Stocktrader
Hi Stocktrader,
ReplyDeleteI have 2 out of 2 miss in 1 trading day???
Saleem
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteIf GMCR can tack on $7B in market cap from a 10% share purchase from KO, I think SODA does really look interesting at $750M total with a cold line fully developed and in distribution for years. I can't wait to see what the 55% short float in SODA decides to do tomorrow--GMCR up 55%+ is an eye-opener.
Stocktrader
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteYes, we are all feeling it. It has been tough this earnings season. At least AAL did well and has continued.
Stocktrader
Hi Stocktrader,
ReplyDelete18% slump in 2 stocks in 1 day is extremely discouraging.....?
I do not recall ever having a hit like this in all my trading years????
Good luck with SODA......
Saleem
Hey Saleem,
ReplyDeleteI decided to buy some SODA shares in my trading account again (avg 32.60) and will be holding those overnight. I think the sentiment could fully shift to positive even before the market opens, especially when it trades in Israel also.
Sorry I'm talking about this so much, but I think it's a fascinating speculation right now given the absolutely insane action in GMCR.
Stocktrader
Hi Stocktrader,
ReplyDeleteSODA definitely is washed out @ new 52 wk low.....when i checked it was down only $2+...you are already ahead..bid is $33.40.....
