US stock market making new highs.....

US stock market making new all time highs in S&P 500 .....

Earnings are on tap from key companies this week....

Wednesday MSFT, META TSLA

Thursday AAPL

Expecting UPBEAT guidance from all of the above....

Biggest surprise may come from AAPL....which has been downgraded by many analysts based on Chinese iPhone sales....BUT the surprise may be on AI implementation in coming quarter...thus I remain OPTIMISTIC....

Market has been doing better than expected with S&P 500 being the leader.....Nasdaq may jump into leadership this week....followed by DOW.....

Here is my results from last week :

Last week UP 3.74%

YTD UP 12.10%

Here is my portfolio weighting :

SHOP       14.28%
AVGO       13.03%

  6. Hi Saleem (and Simon),

Good luck with MU and NVDA here - deep discounts.

I am focused on deciding how/if to reposition my portfolio based on this news. I have the weekly numbers but will post them when I'm more comfortable with my current portfolio which is taking up all my mental energy at the moment (plus, it's really kind of old news at this point).

  8. Hi Saleem,

Ok, here's a few trades but I have one more I think I want to make and just deciding what to sell to free up funds...

Trimmed OSIS to equal weight @ 198.32 on post-earnings pop

Sold BITU @ 54.02 on sluggish momentum post-Trump working group announcement, MSTR purchase (removing that catalyst), and needing funds for different purchases

Bought SOUN @ 14.72 on AI application potential strength ahead (with costs decreasing)

  9. Hi Saleem,

Oh, also picked up some AMD calls and SMCI puts in a small trading account. AMD could be a beneficiary here as their chips become more in demand both at a business and consumer level (note they announced a Deepseek integration on Friday actually). SMCI could be vulnerable at a revenue and margin level based on expensive datacenter build rethink.

  10. Hi Saleem,

    Added to LITE @ 73.61

I think the fears here are overblown as hyperscalers are not the only business line potentially improving in the coming year. As it falls into support I still like it here.

  12. Hi Saleem,

Trimmed a little PSNL on a PT downgrade to $8 from $11 today on potential sluggish 2025 as their largest enterprise customer continues to wind down and the new partnerships take until possibly 2026 to emerge as strong drivers.

Added to PUMP on this dip and my feelings that oil/gas look poised for a strong run on future energy needs, even without this "news" today on datacenter demand.

  14. Hi Saleem,

It is difficult on days like today to stay balanced. It's hard not to just sell the non-tech positions to buy huge tech dips...

  17. Hi Stock Rookie,

It was just a weekly 125 that I threw some money at. I took profits on the SMCI weekly 26 this morning (0.52 fill yesterday to 0.89 fill today) on the big morning dip. That trade alone funded most of the premium in the AMD option, but I bought some SOUN and TEM weekly call options today also. I do a lot in the trading account that I don't mention here because it's very speculative in nature.

  19. Hi Simon,

Thank you but it doesn't always work out the way I hope! I just have to keep thinking of new ideas and any speculative moves keep small or they will erode portfolio value quickly...
