YGE beat EPS by 2 cents,raised guidance & margin UP !!!

YGE reported a solid Q 2 by beating EPS consensus by 2 cents...consensus 21 cents actual 23 cents....

Margin improved to 25.8% from 24.6% in Q1...

Sales UP 24.6% sequentially to $289.7 million....

PV module shipment guidance increased to 270-280 MW from previous guidance of 255-265MW an increased guidance of 5.7% for 2008.....

YGE solid Q2 Sales & EPS BEAT should help all Solar stocks today as Solar has become a "show ME sector"

    I think to day will be the day for solor. Ready to buy either SOL, JASO CSIQ , or may be ABK???? UPL, ??

    Hi Ds,

    YGE tape so far is very muted in pre-market???

    If market rallies again then best bet maybe in financials & techs..

    MER,C,ABK,IBN are very strong....in tech RIMM,AAPL,BRCM looks good.....

    Solar ...who knows..a weak sector so far....

    I am staying with SOL until profitable.....

    JASO is showing sign of life much better than SOL????

    Hi Saleem. Thanks for the advice on FSLR yesterday. I kept it. Zacks (a blog I think) has a chart analysis which shows a possible breakout (or breakdown) coming soon. If it breaks out of the channel I will keep, breaks down I will sell. This is still a very tough market, everyone please be careful.

    Hi Minaccess,

    Fundamentally speaking FSLR is the-best.....outstanding growth coming up & cost advantage.

    Technically speaking all solar are in DEEP trouble......so it is a sector thing.....

    Once we get in favour ..I am expecting a financials breakout type of move...I hope....

    It IS painful to sit with a large position in SOL & be underwater....

    I still believe SOL is best among Chinese Solar based on FA.....

    Hi saleem. I agree with SOL. If and when solar stages another rally I expect SOL to be a leader. It could easily jump 50% in a matter of weeks.
