VIX is down 5.5%......this was bought as a protection before election..now its being sold off..a mechanical move..not an indication of how market has been behaving while VIX remained unchanged......
Bought back a half position in PFPT at ~10.55 based on the lockup expiration today. I realize now why the stock has shown such weakness despite the good earnings. Knowing this makes me more comfortable to enter the name, and my standard half position for PFPT doesn't add much more risk to my portfolio but gives me exposure to a good name.

Overall though, I'm not good at being net short--every single up tick pains me.

ReplyDeleteIt is NOT about being scared..BUT to accept the TAPE the way its behaving....
After such a shellacking..dow is UP barely 1 point & S&P 500 less than 1....TAPE could not be more clear in terms of "protracted weakness"....
I accept verdict of TAPE ....
