Despite the averages being mixed, the speculative stocks were hit hard (along with things like silver). This reminds me of how last year went, and a tough Feb/Mar led to a deficit from which I could never recover fully. I think my variety in stocks and trying to stay with new ideas versus just investing in winners from last year, will hopefully mean the selling can abate soon and new bases can be formed. Fresh positive catalysts will always help (see FATN after hours), and we will hear earnings and guidance from many of my companies soon, with prices much more reasonable going in -- potentially a great setup. I look forward to February's developments and appreciate the good month that January was even if the last week was brutal.

Good luck with the new adds. I do wonder the future for bitcoin: If it will continue to be a major asset, this could be a good bottom. If it will cease to exist at some point (quantum computer hacking?), then there's a path to zero. I don't pretend to know everything bitcoin - it's just always been a difficult asset to predict...
