I bought some in a smaller trading account and tried to write calls against given the volatility but it still runs so fast that even that income wasn't worth it...
There's a lot of whipping around in non-semi stocks that don't make much sense on a daily basis. I think the liquidity situation is poor and leaves the market vulnerable to a sharp pullback. That said, the future for stocks and the economy seem brighter (other than inflation) as AI actually drives hiring in multiple areas and makes the world more efficient/productive. I think until robots/robotics develop to the point where physical jobs can be replaced en masse, we are probably going to see a kind of Golden Age.
My loss on the SOXS position broke $1M today, which is unfortunate because I didn't really consider the timing and size that carefully when I initiated it - it was more just an idea for free cash because other ideas had run so much...
If Trump mentions that memory prices are too high or talks about this part of the trip at all, we could see a significant short term decline in the likes of MU/SNDK.
