US stock market stable despite many challenges.....

US stock market showing resiliency despite sky high inflation worldwide and interest rate hike is in the air, these are not very desirable environment for a roaring stock market.

Iran remains in focus.

Shipping is disrupted with higher shipping rates.

Trade fiasco continues between US & Canada.

World politics is in a flux.

BUT AI related stocks have regained some footing and much more to go.

Best way to approach this stock market is to have long term vision, not a day traders market @ all.

Keep your expectations low, expect 8% gain in a year IF you are lucky.

Here is how my last week ended :

Last week                     down 3.87%

YTD                                UP 55.53%

Here is my portfolio weighting on 117% exposure :

AMDL                                 30.32%

GDXJ                                  22.03%

MU.TO                                16.31%

GGLL                                     8.95%

SNDU                                     8.20%

MVLL                                     8.09%

SPAX                                      6.10%

PS...today I got my laptop going, still trying to settle in a very different culture in Karachi Pakistan.

BLOG DOES NOT GIVE BUY OR SELL.

Hi Saleem,

Last week: -2.72% (YTD: -2.11%)
Portfolio Leaders: none
Portfolio Laggards: BFLY

Despite the intraweek volatility, most market averages and portfolio stocks closed near the flatline, building pressure for an upside breakout as we hover near highs. Economic data remains good enough, and market odds for a rate hike next meeting are near even, but I think regardless of the decision, 25 bps won't affect the market outlook. It would be helpful to get some global issues resolved around trade and military actions, as persistent flareups create temporary upward pressure on prices, a situation unable to be affected by Fed decisions. I stay patient on my portfolio names, waiting for new news as the stories continue to develop. This is a difficult market to trade given some of the extreme moves, so I have limited my trading in the absence of information to avoid creating unnecessary mistakes from just boredom.

Holdings: BFLY AMBQ PONY WGS AEVA RKLB ENPH NN NNOX(small), cash 0%
