SOX is attractive @ current level......
In this market where many stocks look expensive, there are new area of opportunity.
SOX looks very attractive and is @ support +- 50 DMA MCHP QRVO SWKS
Chinese stocks are looking attractive, some making new highs like NTES and others are ready to make like BABA
VRX is strong all of a sudden
Steel stocks are catching a bid, X looking good...
Lost and forgotten Solar stocks are sporting RSI in 60s....FSLR, JKS.....
So much has changed since FAANG stole the show....
AAPL is near support.....
Sometimes, it is better to focus on " oversold quality stocks"
TAPE may be going sideways, but some stocks have taken leadership role in this up down market.
Technically we are healthy as all major indices are above 50 DMA.....
@ this stage in market, laggards may take leadership role, as evident with solar stocks.
Oil is the only "uncertainty"....it is near 52 wk lows...IF it breaks previous lows, then technical selling will trigger, which is never good....
SO.....it is a tricky market, very much individual stock driven....
Take a pause, and look @ emerging sector after long downtrend.......

DOW is the strongest index in the market......
Market sentiment has shifted in a big way......
Before.... Nasdaq & SOX were the strongest sector and making series of new all time highs
S&P 500 was strong and making series of new all time highs.....
Dow was also making new highs......
NOW......
SOX is trading 7.18% below its all time highs, its lowest point 6 trading days ago was down 9.16%
Nasdaq is trading 3.00% below its all time high, its lowest point 6 trading days ago was down 3.64%
S&P 500 is trading 5.33% below its all time high, its lowest point 6 trading days ago was down 11.31%......
DOW continues to make new all time highs on a daily basis..........
RSI is reflecting above scenario.....they are :
DOW RSI @ 68.59
S&P 500 RSI @ 60.93
SOX RSI @ 47.50
Nasdaq RSI @ 47.42
NOW...the question is....is this a permanent shift taking place or IF it is going to revert to previous trend......
I think...it is a trend which may remain in place, until earnings start flowing in in mid July.
Those who are looking @ long term ideas, it may be wise to allocate 50-50 in strong and weak index...
Markets do go through major change......
Technology may have taken a back seat for now, but may come back in a big way to make series of new highs.
Recognizing major shift is key to avoiding poor performance.

About market, TAPE recovered nicely from 2 day's of drubbing, indices closed near high of the day. Internals were strong all over. Dow & S&P 500 closed @ new all time high, almost unbelievable considering investor / pundits sentiment till yesterday. It is all about Fed statement and policy change about direction of interest rates. After usual zig zag, we should confirm this rally by close.

Internals were :
UP volume led by 1.26 to 1 in NYSE & .59 to 1 in Nasdaq
Advancing stocks led by 1.02 to 1 in NYSE & .73 to 1 in Nasdaq
Net new 52 wk highs were leading by 111 in NYSE & 54 in Nasdaq
VIX UP 7.10% @ 11.46
Oil @ $46.08
Gold @ $1268.90

About market, TAPE was weak but closed near high of the day. Nasdaq was the real story for 2 days in a row, it slumped 231.03 points or 3.64% from high to low today, hopefully, this selling is more than overdone, no technical levels were breached like 50 DMA. The real carnage was in SOX which corrected 96.53 points or 8.39% from high to low in 2 days.Hopefully you have adjusted your portfolio to better position for next ride UP.
