NASDAQ was the strongest index UP 14.34......
Solar stocks came back after German subsidy reduction was less than feared.....
AH SOL announced 8.1 million share secondary offering which will increase TOS by 13.6%..a small dilution...SOL down $1.58 from close.... erasing most of its RUNUP today....

Solar took it on the chin "big time" after report of reduction in German subsidies.....
European Solar stocks also got downgraded including Q-Cell......

Markets were OVERSOLD...so a bounce was not a surprise......
Most investors /traders are discouraged near oversold levels......
IBD loves to raise "red flag" whenever there is a "routine pullback"
By the time IBD gives "all clear"....market have moved "substantially UP"

Solar Stocks are they really "Hot,Hot,Hot"???
Solar stocks have been the best performers since April of 08.......
What is propelling this sector into the-strongest category???
-Highest growth rate in both Sales & EPS
-Awareness about Alternative energy
-Cleaner fossil fuel
-Serious energy shortage around the world
-Sky high price of Oil
-If $130 price of oil sticks...then Solar will be pushed by more government & United Nations
-Solar is easy to harness around the world
Solar stocks comeback on Friday with Oil has convinced ME that this sector is for real !!!
Solar stocks wants to go higher much more than what we are READY for....most hyper growth cycle last for @ least a decade......we are in year 2 now...8 more years to go !!!!
So which Solar stock is looking attractive right now based on stocks I monitor...here is current rundown on some popular names as of Friday's close:
JASO price $23.44 EPS 08 92 cents PE 25.48
STP price $46.89 EPS 08 $1.55 PE 30.25
YGE price $22.30 EPS 08 90 cents PE 24.7
SOL price $$24.10 EPS 08 $1.24 PE 19.44
SOLF price $22.58 EPS 08 97 cents PE 23.28
LDK price $47.16 EPS $1.67 PE 28.24
TSL price $48.33 EPS $3.14 PE 15.39
CSIQ price $38.49 EPS $2.35 PE 16.38
Based on EPS growth rates for most solar they are showing an average of 50% for 09.....this growth should translate into major gains in stock price......
Based on the latest earning reports and CC...CEO's are very confident of their rapid growth going forward......
I personally believe that Solar has graduated from another CONCEPT arena to a hyper- growth sector.......
I will NOT hesitate to give PE of 35 as an average based on superior growth in their EPS...some may trade much higher than this..... as is clearly the case if we look @ FSLR (96.03 PE for 08)& SPWR(39.26 PE for 08).....
As the evidence of superior growth is IN...I will personally try to overweight solar .......

NTES CC....Clarified tax charges !!!!
NTES CC was very detailed on the unusual charge for tax accrual of 25% as per current unified tax procedure for all companies operating in China both foreign & domestic....
NTES has applied for tax adjustment due to their technology focus....
NTES fully expects that their tax rates will revert to 15% before the year is out.....
NTES will continue to accrue 25% until ruling for 15% comes through.....
NTES will reverse the tax charges in the Q it receives exemption.......
Analyst were in tune with this TAX procedure and will factor 25% tax going forward until exemption is received......
After exemption is received then NTES will Show a HUGE adjustment in that Q ..thus boosting EPS for Q and the entire 08 FY....
NTES does NOT expect any affect on Advertising or other revenue issues due to 3 days of mourning...3 days of mourning for Quake victims is understood by all analyst covering Chinese companies.....a minimal affect will be factored for all companies.....Monday to Wednesday was the 3 days affected by mourning......how busy is NTES on those days with online gaming revenue will be minused out by analyst for Q2....
NTES is very confident about gains in Advertising on a Y/Y basis...Q1 is their slowest Q for Advertising...still gained 37.5% Y/Y by $3 million...$11 million in Q1 08 vs $8 million in Q1 07..
NTES expects to see continuing gains in their business for the rest of FY 08 & into FY09.....
All In all a very confident NTES team.......

Almost $130 Oil Tanks stock market???
Markets ran scared after Oil came close to $130???
PPI came hotter than expected????
All of the above is shaking the confidence of consumers & investors.......
Consumer are paying through the nose for gasoline and all consumer items in grocery stores.....
Markets pulled back after hitting highest level since march retest....
Markets are testing "support" NOW......
We should be able to resume our uptrend after finding support.......
About OIL......we are getting into a "blowoff stage"where prices will peak very soon......

SNDK CEO said due to higher gas prices.....his FLASH memory sales will be affected...the rest is history today.....
NASDAQ tanked on that news and closed down almost 13.....

How HIGH is HIGH for solar stocks $$$
Solar stocks are on fire........
Is solar stocks in BUBBLE........
In my opinion NOT YET......
So.....the logical question is how we value each solar stocks.....
I will try to come up with reasonable expectations of each solar stock....
Which metrics I am going to use.......the most reliable of all......popularly known as EARNINGS...
In the end earnings matter......
What I have observed that when any sector is HOT HOT HOT.....then 30X earnings in tech sectors is achieved easily......
I believe Solar is a tech category........
30X earnings is a fairly reasonable/CONSERVATIVE price target for each solar......
Those solar stocks which have NO earnings currently...will be anomaly in my scenario...as they are ALREADY trading @ sky high prices.......and may go HIGHER !!!!
SEE...on wall street..it IS HERD MENTALITY.......everybody piles on one hot sector till it is UP 400% in a year......
Are we going to see the same scenario in solar stocks......I believe so.....
WHY.....
Because we are entering a bull phase in the markets also.....so Solar IS the new & WONDERFUL idea...based on global warming issues which even GWB has accepted NOW.......
By the way all those HOT HOT HOT sectors will give way to Solar NOW......
SO...fasten your seat belts and be ready for some crazy TAPE in Solar.........
So HOW HIGH we go in each solar.......
Here is my breakdown for some stocks where earnings DO EXIST......

SOLF .74 cents in 08 x30=$22.20...$1.25 in 09 x30=$37.50
currently trades @$22.84 08 PE=30.86
TSL $3.11 in 08 x30=$93.30...$4.17 in 09 x30=$125.10
currently trades @ $49.53 08 PE=15.03
SOL $1.28 in 08 x30=$38.40...$1.97 in 09 x30=$59.10
currently trades @ $26.04 08 PE=20.34
CSIQ $1.52 in 08 x30=$45.60...$2.79 in 09 x30=$83.70
currently trades @ $44.90 08 PE=29.54
Now the question is can solar stocks go to 40X PE........yes they CAN......
Why do I do these comparative analysis.......to have a RIMM by RIMM comparison...then only you can see the quality of your own decision making...in BUYING or SELLING......
Most solar stocks are OVERBOUGHT on historical RSI numbers......but they CAN stay overbought & even go HIGHER in a bull market...where we are RIGHT NOW.......
So my conclusion SOLAR IS HOT HOT HOT !!!!!!
SO...GO AHEAD & MAKE YOUR SOLAR DAY !!!!

S&P 500 closed near HIGH @ 1425.35 !!!
S&P 500 closed green near High of the day......
Oil,metals,mining,coal,Gold led the green parade....
Some Solar stocks blew past resistance on heavy volume...
In my portfolio :
NTES rating 0/30 rated for a BREAKOUT @ $25.36 for a target of $27.36
NTES was repeated as positive by Susquehana financial analyst today....
NTES went to all-time HIGH today @ $25.52....on heavy volume of 2.5 million++!!!!
RIMM rating 5/30 rated for a BREAKOUT @ $143.89 for a target of $158.60...
SOL No TA.....lost only 17 cents after a HUGE run up yesterday....looks very good !!!
TOL rating 60/45 rated for a BREAKOUT @ $25.18 for a target of $27.60....
V No TA.....Looks ready for a move UP...Closed green while MA was down $3.37...very good sign !!!

Rally cut short after S&P500 reaches 1420......
Markets were chugging along nicely ....until
S&P500 touches 1420 resistance and backs off in a hurry......
All strong stocks pulled back ...some into deep RED......
