NASDAQ is showing strength as earnings from MRVL & DELL came better than expected.....
Solar is getting TRACTION & ATTENTION as German changes in subsidy are minor tweaks till 2010.....
US$ is strong today...I have been betting for US$ strength against Canadian $ for several months..for most part it has worked as I converted near TOP of Canadian $ strength which was $1.10 now it is $1.0064 today..in other words US 1.0064 required to buy 1 Canadian $....

PS...Mother went for surgery @ 845 AM Houston time ...will take 3.5 hrs to 4.5 hrs till it is completed..Thanks to Minaccess,Ds,Madmax & many others who are hoping for a speedy recovery.....

I was on vacation for several weeks and let my porfolio worked on its way. SOL is still doing well with my cost average of $16.5.
I am still holding SEED. Do you think it still has a potential of moving up?

Thanks for your good thoughts about my mother's surgery & recovery....staff just told us that her surgery should be over by 12.45PM houston time....4 hrs in total....
I am glad that you relaxed on your vacation ..which we all need !!!
SEED tape is going nowhere....so suggest moving on to better stocks.
SOL is looking good...my 3rd attempt @ making money....

Mother's surgery went well and she has been moved to ICU.....Surgeon is saying that next 48 hours are critical.

FSLR and LDK both of them started trading about a year ago (Nov 06 for FSLR and Jun 07 for LDK) and they started at around 27 bucks a share.
FSLR trades at 140+ trailing PE. LDK trades a trailing PE at 29.
Looking at this year FSLR trades at PE 93 and LDK 27.
Looking at next fiscal year. FSLR forward PE is 47 and LDK is 12.
The big question is the plant. With the plant running expect LDK to bring about 7 bucks in earnings, that puts LDK’s forward PE at 6.
The revenues expectations for FSLR and LDK are identical. 1.0 billion for 2008 and 1.9 billion for 2009 for both companies.
With plant up and running, I can see LDK trading at FSLR prices, what do you guys think?
