What next for S&P 500 ?
S&P 500 has been UP five straight trading days, it is UP 4.90% or 65.80 points.
Technicians are looking @ 1420 as resistance, which is less than 11 points away.
Resistance are made to be broken or taken out when there is enough momentum.
RSI @ 53.55 which leaves room for further gains
There could be further buying pressure as month end is approaching
Many traders including hedge funds are not participating in this rally due to fiscal cliff issue....
By the time "fiscal cliff is resolved" market may be lot higher
We also may face the performance issues as end of November approaches.
All in all "trend is your friend"
YES..Indices may react to ongoing issues like Greece / EU or Fiscal Cliff every so often..but trend is upward for now.....
Black Friday / Cyber Monday Sales are another bullish factor....
Many stocks in different sectors are on the move now, big gains can be made in many stocks IF patience is exercised......
SO...get back into doing research for picking "new stocks" where gains may be "above the charts"

Down 6.33% in 12 trading days........
S&P 500 went from 1434.27 to 1343.35 in 12 trading days of November.....
This is a pretty steep correction for non-flash crash type of event.
Many technicians are not very hopeful based on "weak rebound on Friday"
This is also "Thanksgiving shortened week" with low volume.
A better picture of strength may emerge in the last week of November.
Market direction will be dictated by development or lack of progress in coming days or week on Fiscal Cliff.....
SO..the question IS ?
How we should position ourselves in this market environment.
My suggestion is to stay involved with your own comfort level.
Once "fiscal Cliff is averted"...it will be a "huge boost to this market.
Many stocks are behaving much better & held up well in this collapse......pay attention to those stocks like YHOO,APKT,MA,V,FB...to name a few in my universe.
Many stocks rebounded nicely on Friday which needs focus.
Many sectors are falling apart technically speaking which should be avoided.
It is back to basic about "stock picking"

About market, i was expecting an oversold bounce today even a weak one, but that is not in the card these days. Market sentiment has deteriorated further to the point that money is leaving much faster now. CMF is showing deeper negative flow & new 52 wk lows are staying high. Any bounce should be met with selling. It is a long battle of politicians & market is giving "clear message to better wake up in a hurry or else"...

About market, TAPE has been weak & needs capitulation. Internals have been weak but needs an extreme negative ratios to qualify for capitulation. Currently there is still hope & optimism that many are predicting a "move UP on a daily basis". I think we test 1373.03 in S&P 500 and go lower. This analysis is based on historical trend. A flush out & then recovery. IF i have to take a guess...it looks like Thursday may be an UP day.

Downward move intensifying, what to do ?
Here we are, indices are below all technical support & majority of stocks are breaking down, not a scenario for optimism......
We all know which group has taken to or are responsible for this technical breakdown.......
Knowing the players who love being on TV but never accomplishing task @ hand, will take this market to lower level.
Currently weak support is in 1350 to 1360 area......
Major support is around 1320 area with 1290 area as line in the sand....
These support level seems given based on history of US politicians, waiting for last second for token deal & pushing everything to another Super-committee to report in 90 days.......
SO based on history, it is important to adjust to this ongoing reality till Christmas week.......
I am looking @ seven weeks of well defined negativity......
What we can do in the meantime is :
-Sell the under-performing stocks ASAP
-Sell the rally
-Keep reducing exposure
-Those who are brave enough VIX can be a good contrary position.
-Book "small profit ASAP"
It IS important to understand this ongoing Wall Street wisdom "NEVER FIGHT THE TAPE"
I have already started reducing exposure & will do more to be @ a "higher comfort level"

Indices closed down .94% to 1.42%......
Indices closed @ lowest level of the day, S&P 500 & Nasdaq closed @ the lowest fraction of the day, DOW missed by few tick.......
S&P 500 @ 1377.51
RSI @ 32.60...this is lowest since June 2012....bullish indicator
CMF @ -0.114...this is not so extreme in this selling...bullish indicator

Chinese CPI for October came in @ +1.7% vs expectations of +1.9%
Chinese PPI for October came in @ -2.8% vs expectations of -2.7%
These numbers are extremely bullish, as this leaves lot of room for Chinese Central bank to ease up.
About market, we have gone through a major pullback & it may have run its course. Sentiments is extremely negative which IS a contrary indicator. Even "super bull Jimmy the Cramer" is crying uncle. Expecting a green close for Friday.

About market, today was a culmination of Romney defeat, Mario Draghi comment about Germany. Barak Obama victory did not sit well with HF / Bankers also. Republican's in a televised press conference showed willingness to work with Re-elected President. Reaction was half as bad as last victory of President Obama when Dow plunged 5.1%.Today was an over-reaction to above mentioned. I believe market will be back to building its momentum again.
