Indices may slump @ open ......
Indices may be under severe pressure on Increasing death and hospitalization due to Corona virus. Many countries are reporting patients Canada, Australia, Nepal, plus 4 in USA......
China reporting increasing number of death and patients on an hourly basis, so far fatalities are confined in China.
There is a very good chance that by close, we may see stabilization in US markets.....off the lows is my hope....
My optimism for better close is based on RSI projection which is already heading 48 in Russell 2000 others may get there intraday.
Here is RSI reading as of Friday's close :
IWM 48.88
DOW 57.85
S&P 500 61.57
SOX 63.99
Nasdaq 67.27
When our indices hit 50's in RSI I am hoping for stabilization.....
This is the week of earnings when all famous technology companies reports, most may have strong earnings.....
By tomorrow PM most stocks may have given up their super sized gains.....thus better tone after earnings.
Do not overreact to news flow, it may be discounted in a hurry.....
Having a diversified portfolio always helps....
Chinese stocks are impacted by 11 city shutdown and curb on New Year travel and celebration....
Have some low RSI stocks in your portfolio, that may dent less than extended stocks.....

About market, TAPE rested today after a marathon run, Internals were weak. For few trading days It is important to watch how we close, IF we close in lower half then you need to wait for next day's close to get an all clear for near term.

Where are we heading in US stock market?
US stock market is on a roll, markets are so strong that series of new all time highs have been made. It is so strong that participants are very comfortable with this TAPE.
Before we look further, let us look @ RSI and see what it is telling us now:
Nasdaq 79.53
S&P 500 76.57
DOW 72.62
IWM 72.08
EEM 68.24
SOX 66.68
GLD 66.63
XLB 60.42
XLF 60.26
When I look @ all of the above RSI numbers, overall it looks very healthy, indicating UPTREND remains intact.
However, Nasdaq, S&P 500, DOW and RUSSELL 2000 looks vulnerable in near term, which means maximum 3 Down days.
Those down days may be triggered with less than stellar earnings report form key companies.
As most Nasdaq, SOX and others have moved UP substantially anything less than perfect reports will be punished, I expect few of those happening shortly.
Once a bad report comes this week, it will create an environment of doubt about bull thesis meaning fear taking over.
Thus a pullback may last no more than 3 days.....
Then another good report will come out and all is well thesis takes hold.
As we are deeply overbought near term, probability is very high of 3 day pullback.
Euphoria is rampant....
Bull Bear ratio most bullish in 5 weeks, a contrary Indicator...fear is gone....
VIX @ 12.10 is all set to hit 16 in very short order.....
Impeachment hearing starting this week may play with sentiment and cause distraction.....
Even IF I am wrong, market may trade in a very narrow range to digest gains and deal with overbought condition.
IF nothing else, one can wait for a better entry point as rotation takes hold.
XLB materials sector is looking very bullish IF bull thesis is as strong as TAPE has been predicting.
Pullback, sideways & rotation may become theme going forward.

Did you miss this monster move in US stock market ?
There could be many who missed this huge rally since October 2019.....
SO..you missed 3 months of bullish TAPE amid many uncertainty......
- Fed was unsure about direction of Interest rates.....
- CHINA & USA were exchanging Nasty rebuttals through tweets and official statements..
- IRAN was in limbo with what to do with renewed sanctions.
- Brexit had no exit
- There were two countries INDIA & PAKISTAN doing their own version of war talk
-Then IRAN & USA had their own version of Missile and Drone kiss and makeup...
BUT US markets kept rallying through all of the above as IF it knew ahead of time....
Most of the above issues are " on side "
Market made its own "mini adjustment " by being down 2 full trading days......
SO for those who missed everything from October because you were too afraid to get into tweet diplomacy.....here comes the real rally now....
RSI is very appetizing for those who missed this rally, and they are :
IWM 56.90
SOX 61.30
DOW 62.41
S&P 500 67.69
Nasdaq 73.39
As you can clearly see when have you seen these RSI numbers in the middle / beginning of any major bull run.....probably NEVER.....
Nasdaq is the only index where it is fairly valued by can go substantially higher....remember strong bull market...RSI in High 80 is norm.....
All other index / indices are flashing BUY BUY BUY......
Those who are still not sure, BUY ETF of all of the above and leave it for next 10 years.....
Those who are daring and opportunistic play the rotation SOX & IWM are screaming buy...
SO...rotation is the idea of this market every 2 trading days, can go back and forth in many stocks.
