Indices have consolidated nicely, ready to move higher.
Before we look @ rationale for my optimistic message, it is important to look @ RSI and they are :
Nasdaq 60.36
S&P 500 60.06
DOW 57.97
SOX 56.68
XLE 54.81
RUT 50.34
TAN 42.89
GLD 42.68
As you can see with the above RSI numbers, that leading indices are showing strength, which is a good thing for future direction.
It is also obvious that SOX & RUT are consolidating / testing support before moving higher again.
TAN & GLD are near lows showing weakness.
There is another technical strength which is showing known as extremely reliable " golden cross " 50 DMA being above 200 DMA, a strong short term positive trend.
DOW & SOX have made " golden cross " already
S&P 500 is ready to make it as soon as next UP day.
Nasdaq is also close to making golden cross in few trading days.
RUT is little behind in doing Golden cross
Many stocks are consolidating near support like AMD NVDA LRCX and ready to move higher.
FB AMZN looking ready to move UP
Chinese stocks like BZUN HUYA have made their move higher, others like MOMO IQ ready to make their move now.
All in all TAPE is looking very healthy.
Strong stocks will outperform.

After 2.50% slump in Nasdaq, now what?
Nasdaq slumped 2.50% on Friday alone, that is what some money managers hope to gain in a year in any tough market.
RSI came crashing down on Friday, here is the picture of RSI in popular averages ;
Russell 2000 39.83
TAN ( Solar ) 43.10
DOW 46.76
S&P 500 53.91
Nasdaq 56.11
SOX 59.25
IF you look above and compare with last week same time, it is a tale of two different market, Last week was full of optimism until Wednesday when Fed gave all the indication where everything is interest rate wise & its direction, zero increase in 2019 was the verdict.
Interest rates are inverted in many markets and is causing major concern about recession and worldwide economic weakness.
China US trade is now going in reverse, China taking away some concession given before as US seems to consider every offer as no go.
FBI special counsel report is out of the way and traders may focus on economy and trade to get their focus right instead of politics in the mix.
Start of the week may focus on trade and oversold condition in market, it may tilt either way @ open, may find footing by close as buyer step in.
As you can clearly see in RSI that SOX is the strongest of all in this selling, Semiconductor being strong is a very good omen for Nasdaq.
SO..IF I am looking for new ideas, I will overweight SOX.

Resistance broken or pullback coming.....
Market has been staging a great comeback, S&P 500, Nasdaq & SOX are showing incredible strength.
All of the above have crossed recent highs which could be taken as resistance.
To analyze further, we need to look @ RSI as it stands right now :
RUT 54.17
DOW 59.00
SOX 65.83
S&P 500 66.10
Nasdaq 67.37
As you can clearly see that DOW & Russell 2000 are lagging badly and have not taken out resistance or its recent highs.
Nasdaq, S&P 500 & SOX look vulnerable to profit taking.
This TAPE has been a story of rotation, thus it may be wise to focus on RUT,& DOW stocks.
Market is certainly in an upward trajectory, may run away from current level towards making series of all time highs.
IF we have a pause in Nasdaq or S&P 500 then it is important to focus on those stocks which are poised for breakout.
Most sectors are behaving well and do usual rotation which could give trading opportunities even IF market keep going UP for few more days.
All in all when SOX do well, markets generally do well.

About market, TAPE ignored BA crash and went about buying stocks after they were oversold. Economic data also helped, NVDA outbidding INTC for MLNX also added fuel to this rally. We closed @ high of the day. Internals were very strong with UP volume leading the way with 5.35 to 1 UP volume. All around it was a powerful rebound.
