What a difference a week makes.............From total doom & gloom to a firm looking markets.
Markets closed on a strong note.
UP volume was close to 4 to 1 compared to down volume.
New 52 wk HIGHS were 364 on NYSE & 187 on Nasdaq.
Russell 2000 was UP 1.32%.
Nasdaq was UP 1.05%.
10 year bond yield closed @ 5.17%......a very comfortable number.
RIMM closed @ an all-time HIGH both on Nasdaq & Toronto.
NMX continued its ROMP towards a take out offer from........NYX......2 shares of NYX for 1 of NMX ???? valued @ $160 ???
Monday morning we may KNOW the complete story !!!
SNDK closed @ $46.40 ...Highest close in a long time...went through resistance of $45.50 like a "piece of cake".
UXG,EGO & PDN.TO all closed GREEN ...but no CIGAR !!!
I will be posting list of technically STRONG stock in my saturday post around 900 AM.
I think it is fair to say...... that we all ......will ENJOY..... this weekend... little more than others ....

Markets Flying HIGH...UP 1%...so far !!!!
As expected markets took off @ open.
No need to buy any EXPENSIVE insurance...let Pete Najarian do that and let him short this market to his hearts desire.
As long as you are well DIVERSIFIED in different sectors...you should be able to come out OK after each quick correction.
Timing this market is very difficult...if not impossible.
Technology has very strong tape...after INTC upgrade.
SNDK got positive initiation from Raymond James with Market Perform rating...UP 54 cents so far.....
NMX UP $4+ on almost TRIPLE the volume in first 100 minutes.
NVDA flying to new all time HIGH .
After 90 minutes the following stocks are strong:
NMX,NVDA,INTC,AAPL,ICE,GOOG,RVBD,LVS,GRMN,FSLR,BIDU,MA.
My wish stocks UXG ,PDN.TO & EGO are all moving so far.
Bought more PDN.TO @ open to bring my cost substantially LOWER on a very large position.

Markets are poised to Rock n Roll after CPI came below expectations.......
CPI was lower than expected .....thanks to SLUMPING housing cost.
Today we should see an EXPLOSIVE rally.......because "smart money was betting on higher CPI and quad witching to take markets down sharply"....................
Now we know that "smart money is NOT so smart".
NMX is flying on confirmation of takeover talks by Bloomberg.....UP$9.....it pays to read "tea leaf accurately".
@ 9AM...the following stocks are showing GREEN:
NMX,RIMM,AAPL,GOOG,CROX,SNDK,BRLC to name a few.

NMX in takeover discussion with 3 players $$$$
NMX is in takeover talks with NYX,Deutsche Bourse & CME for a reported price of $14.3 Billion.
This is being reported by Bloomberg.
Based on the closing price of $139.80...Market cap was 12.87 billion....$1.43 billion more being discussed which is a further premium of 11.1%....which takes the price to another $15.52 which gives takeover price of $155.32.
Current bid & ask is $143.60 & $147.99. @7AM.
My take is there will be multiple offers.....and price may be settled around $180 area.
Please do your OWN due diligence.

Markets closed STRONG !!!!
Markets closed on a strong note.
UP volume was almost 3 to 1 over down volume.
It was not a runaway market because of anxiety for 830AM CPI on friday.
RIMM went to an all-time HIGH in both new york & toronto.In Toronto it did close @ new all-time HIGH.
My two WISH stocks STP up $1.47 & SNDK up 80 cents made my day.....nice to see them ALIVE & KICKING.
STP had 50% more volume today.
NMX was the superstar in my portfolio UP $6.63 ...and further UP in AH.NMX had more than 5 times average volume today.
Even GS negative reaction did not affect the markets at all.
My tommorrow's WISH is that UXG ,EGO & PDN.TO start participating in this rally in a meaningful manner...UXG & EGO were small green today.
Casino stocks WYNN,LVS & MPEL were weak AGAIN......all trading @ or NEAR lower end of the trading range.
GOOG is trying to find support above $500 for several days.
YHOO languishing above $27..which is the lower end of its trading range.
TOL & DHI trying to find support near lower end of their trading range.
I will post @ 9AM on friday.

Markets are going HIGHER because.......
It is a BULL market......which keeps on going UP....inspite of the scare put to it by bond yield,inflation......and whatever happened to Alan Greenspan utterance of Recession.
Bond yield in the first 90 minutes of trading is now down to a very comfortable 5.18%.
Nasdaq is the strongest of all indices.
NMX roared out of the gate......like a BULL....and is UP $5++.
Out of my TWO wish..... one came to fruition today so far STP is showing me GREEN by $1.34 and poor SNDK is only UP 40 cents.....who knows by close I will be happy with SNDK also.
Bought more PDN.TO a Uranium producer which was down lately on general uranium stock weaknesses....... but also PDN related issue of lower production than previously announced......so I bought more @ open which is the lowest price paid in recent months.
Strong stocks after 90 minutes are:
