About market, S&P 500 had a "breakout" which is extremely bullish. IBD has a rating change from day before to "market in confirmed uptrend". Chinese GDP came in @ fastest rate of 7.8%, Chinese retail sales came in weaker @ 13.3% vs expectations of 13.5%. Rally should continue but retail stocks generally are under pressure.
BLOG does NOT give buy or sell.

Hey Saleem,
It's a shame I didn't stick with MS. I only sold to capture some higher beta in another stocks, but MS has been great over the last week including today's earnings.
I actually listenened to AMD's call in after hours. I was impressed with their turnaround plans, current execution on those plans, and leadership for the next stages. They reported above expectations and I thought the guide was fine also, including some UPOD. Their traditional chip business continues to drop as a percentage of revenues, and their specialized products are starting to better represent the real worth of the company. It's probably not the kind of stock I'd invest in due to the historically commoditized nature of the business (which is why they're trying to shift to high value products instead), but is it surprising to see it down so much today.

Hi Stockreader,
YES..MS was a beat compared to GS which was a miss....
AMD is in a difficult transition.

Hey Saleem,
Sold MNST @ 57.80 to take profits. It's had a great run since my entry but is pretty expensive, so it makes me somewhat nervous.

Hi Stocktrader,
Market may digest gains @ these levels....so booking profit is not a bad idea...

Hey Saleem,
MDSO is interesting given the positive sentiment surrounding VEEV, but I just don't have a good feel for the quarter.
Besides MDSO, I really don't have any other good ideas right now. I'll have to do some more research over the weekend, although just buying TNA tempts me again...

Hi Stocktrader,
Individual stocks are better than TNA....imho

Hi Stocktrader,
Bought TSLA $184.26...

Hey Saleem,
We are lucky that YHOO has the "Alibaba put" because I was very surprised at them lowering guidance for Q4 despite the good Q3.
I'm actually turned off by the new site design on Sports, but I can understand how it may be better for mobile and definitely is better at monetization. That said, they have to be careful about losing the audience they kept over the past 10 years who were interested in their great content.

Hey Saleem,
Interesting buy on TSLA. I have heard the quarter should be great!

Hi Stocktrader,
YHOO should be OK.....yes their guide down was very surprising...but we are stuck for now....

Hi Stocktrader,
Bought GMCR @ $64.67....
Saleem
Hey Saleem,
A very controversial stock--kind of like SODA!
Stocktrader
Hi Stocktrader,
It is a very small speculative position in GMCR....it is the only one which has been even close to my buy price....
