Fed and trade progress helping Indices....
Market has been given a major support and upward push from Federal Reserve and major progress in China US trade negotiation.
Fed had been very aggressive in communicating its bias towards steady interest rate.
I have not seen any Fed which was adjusting its policy approach and further communicating with Wall Street on a weekly basis.
After each Fed clarification, we move higher to conquer resistance.
China US trade talk has been monitored and all progress being touted daily.
Wall Street is loving updates from two key players Fed & Trade.
BUT...like everything else, we need to keep an eye on severe overbought condition which is being developed in the process.
Here is a look @ RSI for further analysis :

S&P 500 69.70
DOW 69.72
RUT 75.94
Interesting picture of RSI, most of indices are contained right below 70, BUT RUT is @ whopping 75.94 which means euphoria and froth has developed.
What is @ play in the stock market IF fear of recession has subsided despite weak economic data lately in USA.
Also interesting in Nasdaq that old technology darling are leading stocks not world famous FANG.
Chinese small caps came to life on Friday
Solar stocks are jumping @ abnormal pace
SO many positives are @ play in US market.
Important thing to do now is to watch for sudden pullback to deal with overbought condition.

Indices near top of its range ?
Indices are showing rare strength in climbing over 200 DMA, only sector that has not gone over 200 DMA is Russell 2000.
To further analyze, let us check RSI :
RUT 74.58
DOW 69.43
S&P 500 69.01
SOX 67.84
Nasdaq 66.62
Based on all of the above RSI numbers, history tells us we are overbought and is near top of the range for RSI.
Russell 2000 is way above overbought, DOW, S&P 500 are near 70 area.
Nasdaq is the only one which has some room to hit 70 area.
As you can see from RUT, it is above critical 70 area.
SO...how do we interpret these overbought RSI numbers, we may have to go back to election of Donald Trump when we were touching 80 area.
YES...it is possible to go above current RSI readings.
IF we go above these numbers then we are entering "severely overbought "
CAUTION is advisable IF we are hitting 80 RSI area.....
Pullbacks from 80 area is " sharp & sudden "
As they say " Bulls make money Bears make money pigs get slaughtered "
Greed may not be good as we get close to 80 area
All Indices are hitting top of its range, they may go over top of the range, but drop can be very painful.....

USA China trade stalemate may affect stock market....
China & USA are heading into a very difficult stage of trade negotiations, Trump wants all the concessions which he has outlined, but Chinese team are not going to fall for it, thus a stalemate and it can get worse.
How all this will affect stock market is unknown, Kudlow the pragmatic may lose out to hawk / clones of Trump in the team.
Let us look @ RSI where it is sitting :
Nasdaq 59.50
DOW 60.18
S&P 500 60.52
SOX 61.12
RUT 62.00
IF we look @ RSI, it is showing a picture of bull market, pretty much in 60 area. 60 area is considered overbought in a normal market, we did go well above close to 70 in SOX and it has pulled back.
Other way is to look @ chart where 200 DMA rules as point of resistance or breakout in current scenario.
Based on charts, SOX and DOW are above 200 DMA while Nasdaq & RUT are weakest in relationship to how far they are down from 200 DMA....
To say the least chart is NOT giving a clear picture of strength or weakness, I will say, it is neutral @ best.

Indices closed mixed.....
Indices closed mixed but @ high of the day. China & USA are heading for a showdown in trade dispute after 14 trading days, that may not bode well for market long before that, so jitters continue.
S&P 500 @ 2707.88, high 2708.07, low 2681.83
RSI @ 60.62
CMF @ 0.414
Internals were :
Down volume led by 1.19 to 1 in NYSE & .89 to 1 in Nasdaq
Declining stocks led by 1.15 to 1 in NYSE & 1.04 to 1 in Nasdaq
Net new 52 wk highs were leading by 58 in NYSE & 3 in Nasdaq
VIX Down 3.97% @ 15.72
Oil @ $52.72
Gold @ $1312.50
Canadian $ @ .6724
Stocks which were UP 2% or more included SQ
SHOP ESTC IQ ROKU SPLK EXPE PANW
NTNX TK YELP SINA OSTK.....
