By closing Friday, most of us were confused as to how relate to a deal which is not a deal...never heard phase one deal....substantial or not...what is phase one?
How many phases are there 4, 10.....take your guess...
Market has to find a footing here or else we go down fast.....
Q 3 earnings or earnings ending in September will not be a help, as business environment has deteriorated badly since USA vs CHINA tweet battle.....
I am not feeling very good about business environment which has been created in the last 2 years, extremely rash and volatile approach...not conducive to create a long term plan @ all...
Q 4 may not come as strong as before based on worldwide slowdown.....
Interest rate going down worldwide to prop up economies......
IF there is a rally......
It may be a time to reduce exposure.....which I am planning to do....
Until US & CHINA have a complete, final & binding deal...we have no deal.....cannot plan with 10% deal...can you?
It was non-technology stocks which were big winners on Friday....
May be commodities will perform better.......
Uncertainty is never celebrated on Wall Street......
Good luck with your own thesis on phase one deal!
BLOG does NOT give buy or sell.

Hi Saleem,

I guess it should come as no surprise that my worst stocks continue to decline. It rarely pays to engage in stocks with poor medium term charts even if a short term uptrend appears emerging. At this point, I'm trying to focus on stocks I feel are underestimated ahead of Q3 earnings, which could provide a nice boost in coming weeks and the rest of the year. Regardless of whether I'm right about my pre-selections or not, this earnings season does set up the year-end runs for many stocks--it's important to recognize and hop on those stocks for the levitation in coming months.

Hi Saleem,
I have no idea what went wrong with solar recently, but yes, they are very inexpensive compared to last month.
