Interesting to witness how the analyst play the upgrade/downgrade game and create a false sentiment without taking facts into consideration.

KRA had a blockbuster quarter where they beat analyst consensus estimates for EPS by 575% and Sales estimate by 4+%. It got upgraded the next day with most optimistic target raised to $23.00

Today UBS comes and gives a sell rating with $8.00 target (currently at 14).. Go figure.

I don't plan on selling this but wanted to share a thought.

Thanks

Hi Paramjeet,

Here's one from two days ago:

Kraton price target raised to $34 from $23 at Loop Capital

Loop Capital analyst Chris Kapsch raised the firm's price target on Kraton to $34 from $23 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after its "surprisingly strong" Q1 results. The analyst cites the top-line resilience and "impressive" profitability of the company's Polymers segment. Kapsch adds that the earnings power of Kraton remains much greater than has been demonstrated, especially considering the depressed margins of its Pine Chemicals segment. The analyst further states that even after the strong recovery in recent weeks, Kraton stock remains "extremely cheap".

Hi Paramjeet & Stocktrader,

Traders are smarter than salaried employees like analyst, most of them do not trade and their due diligence is based on secret insider information or agendas of people grouped together.....for illegal gains short or long...

Hi Saleem,

Bought ELF @ 12.60

This has held up better than other consumer discretionary in the last week, and I think the recent activist stake might prove fruitful. I recall a major retailer (Macy's?) saying recently on CNBC that beauty was strong for April, so I'll take a chance here.

Hi guys,

I'm just remembering an analyst chasing me out of CHGG at 37 a few weeks ago. Sometimes they get it totally wrong.
