As they say, let the profit run....BUT for traders, It Is impossible to do so, as we want to book profit and try new ideas....

As we are looking into 2024 we need to plan NOW...
In 2023 we have only 9 trading days left....
Performance is staring @ us....mostly good.....
Past is NO guarantee for future performance
What worked so well in 2023 with benefit of hindsight or Monday morning quarter backing, answers are so obvious....
BUT 2024 is a different ball game....yesterday's performance have little relevance
None of us knows what will work....
This where " deep analysis " and looking into future trends helps
Future trend is telling us the following obvious ones :
- Interest rates are coming down and Fed will cut in spring or earlier based on market forces
- Mighty inflation is coming down as economy is forcing everyone to sharpen their spending habits
- AI is into everything / everywhere....who will gain the-most or optimize the-most will keep winning.
- Housing / Homebuilders are direct beneficiaries of lower rates.
- Lower Interest rate will benefit consumer & economy @ large, more disposable income....
SO IF we narrow down to given trend which I have highlighted, many stocks will jump in your mind....BUT BUT NOT SO FAST....
Analyze PE for long term strategy & look @ RSI for short term trading....
A mix of both short & long term portfolio should work the-best
Some other themes have developed in the meantime, It IS oil prices which has crashed, It has nowhere but to go UP UP UP.....
SO...do your own thinking / strategy and create a portfolio which makes sense to your Investing / Trading style.

US stock market has roughly 14 trading days left in 2023.
It IS good to look back and see where we made trading mistakes.
Also, It IS a great time to plan ahead for 2024 trading
US stock market is always unpredictable in best of days....
BUT last 6 months have been extremely choppy.
From July to October of 2023 it tested nerves, determination & ability to think straight, more reactive than pro active ....
October to December..9 weeks nerves were soothed & calmed with most stock recovered.

Tumbling treasury yield means borrowing cost of Corporation, Consumers & Government all coming down....
Home buyers, line of credit, all will benefit with lower Interest rates...

Market has given its verdict where interest rates are headed in 2024.....LOWER is the word....
This has given big boost to small cap which has been crucified in this go go top 7 Nasdaq stocks....
NOW Nasdaq 7 are taking a well deserved nap for 2 days....that Nap is over....
Nasdaq big 7 should come back with a roar NOW
Wall Street is an interesting place, either you are ahead of the crowd or way behind IF there is no conviction or patience
Chasing sectors / stocks usually gives sub par results....
IF not ahead of the pack @ least be with the pack....
YES...small cap will do the most in current scenario as they have a long way to making new highs....
SO
A mix of small cap stocks & Nasdaq 7 is an ideal combo in an aggressive portfolio....
Oil stocks are ready to join the party as growth returns to the world.....
GDP has seen the lows worldwide as stock prices are running ahead of fundamentals as they see good growth ahead 6 months out.....

It IS still early stage of a new bull market...
QQQ has made a new high.....
Once a new high is attained generally It IS followed by a series of new highs.
Let us examine where major stocks are sitting in terms of RSI :

Based on the above RSI except for SHOP all others are looking like a good place to start a position. Black Friday was better than expected for SHOP which will propel it further in new 52 WK high territory BUT far far from all time high.
Q 4 is an extremely bullish time for stock market and may surprise even the most optimistic bull.
There has been too much emphasis on " sell the news " lately where good quarters were given a big YAWN......NOT SO FAST...I say....watch the same stocks take off NOW...
It is important to be with the winners in a bullish market....
Many good stocks which were hyped before have been taken to the cleaners, they should make a move now and perform better than leading stocks in terms of % gains.

US stock market has roared very quickly to overbought level....
IF we pause & digest gains here...It may be healthy...
IT IS extremely difficult to predict when market will stop going UP...
We can only rely on some overbought & oversold perimeters
RSI is the only one I use extensively in my buy & sell decisions...
Sentiment is another indicator which I use to deal with EUPHORIA or EXTREME NEGATIVITY
Currently everyone is very comfortable with market direction.....
BUT....
It Is NEVER a straight line UP or DOWN...lot of swings along the way....

Based on the above RSI numbers......most are in " overbought territory "
Russell 2000 which has been the weakest link, is also showing 60.33 RSI....NOT a bargain @ all.
Stocks in a bull market is hard to trade, sometimes low 60 is a great entry point BUT ....nothing IS GUARENTEED in Wall Street.....
Keep your list to buy stocks handy, It IS becoming a traders market.....even a day traders dream.....
SO please notice the changing trading environment.....each stocks are going through digestive period thus creating opportunity of buying lower....

In last 11 trading days Nasdaq has been UP 9 days.....it was a straight 8 days of UP move....
All major Indices have crossed their resistance points.....no more struggling with 200 DMA or 50 DMA...all have been cleared in a hurry...
WHY all this optimism Wall & Broad street ?
First of all we are in the most bullish quarter Q4, where most of the money is made and year ending Sales & profitability is in FOCUS
October generally is the most bearish month...which has departed for at least 11 months...
Most of the issues of High high Interest rates / High Inflation has been discounted and has seen its peak...
Rally will get its high throttle when 1000 of shorts try to cover in panic and eventually go long....thus a sustained UP move and spirited gains in strong sectors....
Speaking of strong sectors....none other than technology will gain the most almost 3 to 1 compared to any other sector
XHB or homebuilders are looking strong
Crypto is coming back ....
Please put your focus on leaders NOT laggards.....
YES there will be periodic pullbacks to catch bull's breath...being tired is no good.....
Expect RSI to touch 80's and stay there....
IF you are still waiting to be aggressive ...do not delay.....stars are all lined UP
Expect this UPTREND to continue into 2024....
Interest rates will see downward adjustment in Q2 of 2024 which may fuel this rally further.
Nasdaq RSI @ 63.01 is in bargain basement territory based on where its heading into 80's
