AAPL news:
Explanation for APPL Dip Today - Good News - READ ME 18-Jul-08 04:29 pm
Seems many people are assuming AAPL is down today due to unexpected low numbers in their report Monday. Its assumptions like this that sink people who don't do their due diligence. AAPL was down today for 2 reasons. The first is options expirations. The second was the whole NASDAQ took a dive with Google and Microsoft choking today. Apple was drug down too but if anything it should be seen as one last chance to load up on AAPL for a discount.
Apple's report next week should be excellent. Remember that the report will not even include the new 3G iPhone as it went on sale after the the end of the quarter.
Here are some facts and links to cheer up any longs thinking things are bad:
• One-Third Of US PC Market Growth In Q2 Was Apple Macs
• Apple (AAPL) shipped 1.4 million computers in the US during Q2, representing 8.5% market share and 38% year-over-year growth. Mac shipments grew 9 times faster than the overall U.S. PC market (4.2%) in Q2.
• Q2 U.S. Mac sales grew by 386,000 computers year-over-year, handily beating No. 2 HP, which sold just 222,000 more computers in Q2 2008 (4.17 million total) than it did during Q2 2007 (3.94 million).
