About market, TAPE went into freefall again and closed near low of the day, S&P 500 came near low of Friday but did not violate, a sign of support near 2120 area. Internals were horrible in NYSE with 25.33 to 1 down volume. Today also has the feel of capitulation and then finding support, even IF we violate support by hair, it will be triple bottom, before we take off again. In this support finding TAPE, it is important to cut loose non performing stocks and position with better quality. All we need now is 2 green close to cut through this fed led negativity.

Hi Saleem,

Getting rid of some of the dead weight:

Sold CIE @ 0.99
Sold X @ 16.20
Sold MACK @ 4.67

With CIE, the risk of bankruptcy is too high if they don't find a buyer for their Angola assets. It was a chance I took and didn't work out. My total loss was less than 0.5% of the portfolio despite losing 22% on the position.

With X, given today's NUE pre-announce, I'm not sure there's good upside for X despite being so oversold. I think it may work off that condition merely by moving sideways. I will likely still hold AKS, but steels have been a major drag on the portfolio in recent months.

With MACK, the company looks promising but the funding needs are outweighing everything right now. I will be happy to add lower or after funding resolution, but just sticking with stocks near 52-wk lows this close to the end of the year doesn't usually work well...

Hi Saleem,

Bought FDX @ 160.40

This is still one of my favorite ways to play e-commerce and I wanted to get it back after selling to scoop up QRVO yesterday. That worked in both ways :)
