Indices closed near high of the day as DB situation eased up and oil continued its move higher.

S&P 500 @ 2168.27, high 2175.30, low 2156.51

Internals were :

UP volume led by 2.92 to 1 in NYSE & 3.15 to 1 in Nasdaq

Advancing stocks led by 2.40 to 1 in NYSE & 2.69 to 1 in Nasdaq

Net new 52 wk highs were leading by 99 in NYSE & 71 in Nasdaq

VIX Down 5.21% @ 13.29

Oil @ $48.24

Gold @ $1317.10

Canadian $ @ .6883
