DAVE should be resilient through any consumer weakening conditions and so I find the entry attractive here. ODD has been showing massive relative strength, and the recent earnings report was quite good, so I re-enter now.
Cut the massive overweights in SOUN SERV ATOM PSNL
Bought HCI @ 138.20
A leading property insurance provider in Florida, they have shown great earnings power and relative strength through a difficult time.
Bought CVCO @ 499.46
A manufactured housing builder, they sit in a niche that offers affordability for prospective homeowners and continue to gain market share.
Bought CWAN @ 26.74
A software solutions provider for the financial sector, they continue to make acquisitions that add to their product portfolio and provide a runway for expanded growth.
Great move on RBRK! I'm not sure when you got in, but today's bounce was nice.
I am tempted to take profits in SOUN completely here...
DAVE is probably my #1 idea right now.
Despite some great looking charts on Chinese stocks, I need to stay away - any recent stock listed on a US exchange as their primary market is a red flag to me. Only some legacy US-listed names are "safe" enough in my opinion (BABA etc).
I did not get concerned at all really during the massive pullback (although maybe I should have) - too many positive long term trends in the economy that still have a long way to go coupled with a man-made problem (tariffs) that can be fixed/dialed back in an instant if desired. The more nefarious pullbacks start with overcapacity in multiple industries because there's no easy fix for that. Additionally, we can't have been worried about inflation for months on months and then suddenly when better inflation numbers coupled with a slight slowing of an overcharged economy takes place we look past it and the Fed's role in easing more now.
I'm more concerned daily about my positioning to best capitalize on the next leg of growth and I'm not sure I have it right by dialing back some of my huge beta positioning, but I'm doing my best.
In the end I (and hopefully, you) came out slightly ahead (thanks to adding more into the earnings print), so that's a good run in this kind of market. I only sold today because I fear insider selling on any stock within 1 year of its IPO, and generally thought the numbers were good but not 25% good (although it's getting the market bounce additionally), so using the money for a different opportunity made sense to me. Also, I somewhat fear software stocks generally as they get eaten sometimes easily by new competitors.
