Markets AGAIN had to deal with many negatives in economic data.....
Jobless claims were worse than expected.......
Philly manufacturing LEI index slumped to the lowest level in many many years......
So...what market does...went from UP 50+ to Down 50 area.......
Markets are giving CLEAR signal....that economic bad news are already discounted......
VIX also did NOT spiked UP @ all...it went down on bad news ????
We have a market which IS ignoring ALL the bad news @ this juncture......????
Markets MAY give us its VERDICT in few days.....as to why...it IS holding so well...I hope !!!!
In my portfolio :
AGU UP $1.67 near all-time HIGHS
CSIQ down 2 cents
CMED UP 58 cents...trying to "breakout"
LDK down 84 cents
MA down $2.60...on a formal probe of its charges by "Hungary"
SOLF down 43 cents
@11.44 AM the following are green :
RIMM (15 to 20% higher subscribers growth),POT,WFR,SNDK,
AMAT,CSCO (citi upgrade),GS,CTRN,CTRP,TOL,NMX,AUY,
ABX,GG,DRYS,FWLT,NTES (good ER),NDAQ,LRCX,INFY.

STP definitely put the whole sector into near-term visiblity mode......
LDK reports on monday AH may give the sector a kick-start.

isn't it amazing how LDK hardly ever gets mentioned on the boob tube, when they talk solar??? It seems they are always talking about how the PE's are too high, but NOT LDK's!!! It seems like its a secret for WS only???

I hold LDK with much conviction! I lucked out and bought BABY ahead of IH entry today and in the last minute before the close they sent a buy alert. I love getting in ahead of them because I can sell at a lower target than they shoot for and still make decent $$$. I only do it on stocks that look like the volume will hit IH desired level. I just look early in the day and extrapolate out what the volume should do for the day and if the stock is trending up in the first hour, sometimes I buy and get lucky, like today with BABY. Anyway I am LDK, CMED, CCC, CSX and BABY. Have a great night.

I'm trying my best to maintain the Ben Stein/Saleem philosophy....not to get taken out to the "cash out" sidelines.
It's very difficult/exhausing/depressing watching my solar stock getting destroyed day after day...How do you maintain your cool in these difficult times...?

Patience plays a major role in making serious money.....
Yes...solar is being trashed these days....but they are so oversold...that they will start moving UP without any catalyst..imho
