No bad news of durable goods,manufacturing index or high inflation is affecting markets NOW....???
Markets are looking AHEAD to improving fundamentals in economy...six months down the ROAD...to economic growth......
So markets are singing "on the northbound road AGAIN"
In my portfolio :
Sold all SOLF to book a loss of $3.20 per share as two analyst rated it a SELL this AM...both Citi & BOA......
Bought back CMED cost $55.40....behaving real well and NO selling pressure @ all..expecting great ER & Guidance AH Thursday......
CSIQ UP $1.30 had a "breakout" @ $19.77 now @ $20.65 on heavy volume...It IS MORE amazing based on many negative take on solar since Monday......
GS UP $4.57....going towards 1st UP target of $180.37 instead of "breakdown"
LDK down $1.06 in the "support zone of $29 area".....let us see if it HOLDS.....
RIMM UP $2.74 in Toronto where I purchased yesterday....
CMED down 22 cents on average volume.....
So...my portfolio is :
CSIQ,GS,LDK,RIMM & CMED.......
@ 11.37 AM the following are green in my watch list :
AGU,NVDA,AUY,ABX,BIDU,GOOG,BRCM,C,DELL,SNDK,YHOO,

Nice moves Saleem. The close will be interesting for LDK. Getting pretty unfair treatment by analysts...IMO. Thanks for the update.

If you ask me ..we have NOW reached MAX pain on LDK when it hit $28.67.....
Most traders have stops either @ $29,,$28.95,$28.90,$28.85,$28.70.....so far we have taken all those STOPS out....
Intraday $26+++ is the expected LOW or we move higher from todays LOW.....
The way I see it...today IS the capitulation on LDK...I hope.

I have gone through these SKEPTICS scenarios with many stocks....including RIMM,AAPL,SINA,FMCN,NTES...in each of those case my CONVICTION was better than SKEPTICS thesis....
I sincerely hope that LDK will be no different.....

I will try and sell my SOLF today too. It is just not fair, solar has taken an unfair hit.
GS is on tare today wow-I dunno why but it is way past due. that was another great call on your part.

Hi Saleem. The volume on LDK is only 12% higher than average, so I don't see today's move as capitulation unless the volume picks up. If it goes below 26.15, it would be setting up for a long double-bottom base. I am holding some cash just in case that happens.

You must look @ LDK capitulation scenario factoring yesterdays 7 million volume plus todays....
If 10 million shares sold is NOT capitulation..I do not know then what capitulation looks like....
PS...LDK 10 day average volume is only 2.9 million....
@ 12.51PM LDK volume is 2.1 million

Hi Saleem. The 50 day average according to IBD is 3,545,600 for volume. LDK does not need to capitulate before going up and I don't see it dropping much farther (today's low has a good chance to be a recent low). I am just holding some cash in case people panic.

We are in agreement that selling in LDK is way overdone & today we SHOULD see the LOW.....thank good ness for that.....
A CHUNK of my money in LDK has been UNPRODUCTIVE for few months...

Hi Saleem. Overdone is a mild way to say it. LDK is a real company, with a great future. It will be a game changer. I think Peter Lynch once said that the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent. No reason to think adding shares here will not be a great investment in the months and years to come.

One thing I have learnt from experience(hard way)is NEVER be overexposed in any single stock...no matter how good I feel about the company.....
I am OVERWEIGHT as IS in LDK....
See Peter Lynch NEVER faced current hedge fund driven short selling who are in TOTAL control of any stock.....DAILY !!!

Wonder what you think about VIP? IH entered @ $38.36 w/ a target of $45.65. It is currently at $36.95 and just broke through $37 which has held up all morning as the low. It bounced off of it a few times. Im just wondering if you have any opinion as Im not sure how familiar you are with it? Thanks.

Yes sir, you are right about keeping away from the dangers of ER in this environment. I will stay away for now. There are a lot of stocks that I would like to buy right now but the market is keeping me from jumping in today. It is probably by design and I probably should be buying but... LOL...

Is your investing style more of a daytrader type mentality, rather than a long term? I am trying to figure out your SOLF trade, because long term I still see this as a good stock, do you disagree or was your sell strictly based on short term?

I dumped TWM for a buck loss and sold ADM for a buck gain, so even. I am LDK, CCC, DSX and ASIA. I added some CCC towards the end of the day as it was sold down at the low of the day. Just thought I'd post an update for fun. What a rough day emotionally. I feel like I've been mugged or something. Oh well, here is to better days.

This is the game I chose to play, so how well we handle what WS dishes out is how good we will be as traders, I guess. LOL. I am trying my best to stay cool and wait for my turn. A year ago, I would have sold all my stocks at their low. LOL. At least now, conviction saves me from making novice mistakes, most of the time anyway. Your RIMM, CSIQ and GS kicked butt today and CMED held up great. Way to go on repositioning and prospering. Best wishes Saleem.

Market DOES give LOSS in a hurry...it is how we learn to analyze CAN make a big difference.
Take LDK...so far...analysis has been LOUSY.....& caused serious damage to our equity.......BUT...it CAN turnaround.....hopefully !!!
Now you see...WHY I practice & PREACH strong stocks & diversification.....& NO over-exposure...no matter what !!!

I am still holding ldk but wow pain and suffering. I remember being here with CMED and that makes it tolerable. I have not had the courage to buy more until the bleeding stops. Are you going to continue to hold?

Yes ...I am going to HOLD LDK ...every single share.
But...I will NOT add....as I always manage my exposure in any one stock.....
LDK may take TIME...but it should work out like CMED.
Always look @ your overall portfolio...then you will feel better.

I am going to hold LDK as well, will just have to wait for the plant to be online...
On other front, sold SEED @ 9.78 and its now 6.xx 35% down AH... guess I learned from my other earnings mistake...!!
