Markets finally said good bye to "short attack"......
There was "huge short covering whole day"
Most techs were strong.......
Second tier Solar stocks took "a pass on rally today"
In my stocks :
AGU UP $1.06...rating 65/50..1st target $74.52..2nd target $75.83
MA down 95 cents... rating 75/90..1st target $190.71...2nd target $202.34
CSIQ UP 3 cents...rating 45/95..1st target $24.61...2nd target $26.69
LDK down 57 cents...rating 60/70..1st target $49.92..2nd target $53.63
AKNS down 74 cents...stockcharts target $38.75.....
My portfolio was down .1%....pretty pathetic...considering markets were UP around 1.5%....
Other stocks :
SOHU rating 55/45..1st target $55.25..2nd target $58.62
ESLR rating 65/90..1st target $16.16..2nd target $17.37
CMED ...confirmed breakout..target $57.51.....
Why do I give ratings & targets......so you can trade around those numbers..or keep those stocks..... knowing where it is heading on 100% technicals........
For Fundamental Analysis...there are lot of advertisers who have banner ad on top left hand corner on my every post.....I have allowed one ad @ a time ...it is all FREE...Once you click on one ad..then next one will appear..then next one......No Cost for clicking on Ad ever.....they DO provide "useful reports which I personally have glanced over for NEW ideas"......some of them provide ongoing reports FREE.....I am NOT associated with any of those organization.

Since IH stopped out ESLR and I stayed with it, I appreciate the info that you have been so kind to provide regarding targets, max pain points, RSI... Can't thank you enough! On an earlier post, you recommended to me to have one stock for investment like until end 2008, would you recommend LDK to fill that position? Thanks for opinion or other ideas like maybe AAPL...

Second..should be SOHU....
After summer...AAPL will be a very good one....

I knew that you meant two but I brain farted and typed "one". LOL. Yes IH stayed with AGU. Tonight around 9:00 P.M. CST I will get two of three of their nightly reports. The third report, which are buy watch list, usually does not come until after 11:00. I could either post their nightly report (which discusses todays action and their expectations for tomorrows action) and the 2nd report (discusses individual stock action for the plays that they are in including AGU) or if you would rather me email them to you, I would be happy to do that. Please let me know if I should post (they are long reports) or if you want them emailed.

Your day was great compared to mine. I was down 3.03% today partly due to poor timing of a new purchase SEED. Mucho pathetic!!
Only bright spot was my AAPL. LDK, AKNS and WM were down.
My average cost of SEED is $10.56. Of course when I bought it today, the stock immediatly dropped like a rock...GRRRRRRRRR! Clsoed at $9.65. Poor timing but I know it will go up from here but..it's just disheartening when it happens (by the way not the first time).

Can we trust the financial statements of public companies outside of North America? It seems like every Chinese company has loads of cash and no debt. Really? How can one due DD fundamentally if we cannot trust the quarterlies? Or can we?

Go with established Chinese names...which has performed well & have heavy daily volume like 1 million shares.....
CHL,LFC,PTR,BIDU,FMCN.....to name a few are OK..or go with FXI etf.

POT,MOS are benefitting from USDA report of friday....which is predicting 20% increase in Ag prices...
AGU is stuck in the mud....because they have messed up the filing with regulatory body for its takeover of UAPP....
AGU will run now....as they will refile in 30 days...just a hiccup.
POT & MOS may need rest..but AGU will run..imho

Just got back from Connecticut. Wow lots of snow but no recession. Spoke with several travelers like myself, they have not seen any traces of recession except a slight slow down in housing. Everything else seems well. HDB up another 4% today. This Indian bank borrows money at 0% interest and loans it at competitive rates. Whats not to love. 700+ branches. Nice write up in IBD. No housing exposure either.

As we discussed yesterday about two stocks for longer term hold, I was wondering if BIDU might be a better one to hold with LDK, rather than SOHU? I am just thinking aloud and wanted your thoughts. I could sell SOHU when it goes green for me but I do have some cash where I could purchase some BIDU while it is still down. Just wondering what your 2008 view for BIDU is. One more question, I have heard that shorting is harder to accomplish but with IH as a guide, I am considering shorting NILE today, for my first short play ever. Any advice?

Stop loss limit is the key...so put a stop loss when you short & follow IH guidelines on that.
