As for V , Fast Money said up to fast and furious---time for it to coem back in soon, and to buy it when it drops! Classic!
I still think QLD is our best move to date...
I am not convinced that a bottom is in but if there is a sector rotation I like QLD even more.
Holding, AGU, POT, CMED, DRYS, DSX, , GS, LDK, RIMM.

Yes....financials is a very good area to be positioned in for two reasons.....
They are battered....
Wall street loves it....
This IS a market where FA is meaningless unless wall street gets behind.....

It IS important to forget yesterday's superstars....
Only keep what IS working....
In your entire portfolio 3 things are working RIMM,GS & QLD....
You need to think about future areas where wall street is high on...
Currently it is all about Financials.....
Then it will be RETAIL.....so position there......
Forget Oil,Gold for NOW....they need to REST for a while....
Never buy stocks in downtrend mode...ALWAYS buy in UPTREND whenever it comes.....wherever it comes.
You NEED your money to WORK for you..NOW that we are definitely going HIGHER.....do NOT stay with sectors which are NOT working.
Taking loss is very TRAUMATIC..but I have shown by example that it NEEDS to be DONE ..to move AHEAD...otherwise your portfolio will NOT be productive..imho
It IS NEVER about what I think about any stock...it is all about getting RID of bad positions..no matter what kind of market we are in.

You are so right sell the weeds, I do need to pay attention to the shift away form the old MOMO's and get with it---I suffer from -- do not sell untill you got your money back!
I got that mind set do not sell the losers, get my money back first--break even!!!!!!!!!!
I will sell CMED, LDK, AGU, POT. This frees up investment money big time!
I do think that the AG's will come back especially the way POT tried to come back up Tues and Wed and even Thursday, it rose $7 bucks on some swings. Fertilizer will be needed big time for ethenol gas and for food crops, and China India growth. I have AG conviction, but not willing to hold for 6 or more months to prove my belief!
But I appreciate your help in getting me back on track, I am really lost in this CNBC news generated mortgage recession crisis.

I am glad that you are going to take decisive step to clear stocks which are NOT moving UP but going in wrong direction.
I do believe in Ag...so keep POT only as it IS the best of breed..
You cannot rely on CNBC /Mad Money/Fast Money...you need to follow some discipline yourself...
Diversify in different sectors....
Do NOT sit with loss more than few weeks....
Do lot of FA/TA to know what is causing the drop or GAIN.....
Take profit..has to be the mantra...otherwise hedge funds will turn gain into loss....
Buy working stocks again & again knowing support & resistance !!!
I know it is easy to listen to so-called experts...but YOU need to become an expert yourself..otherwise this CNBC will CONFUSE the hell out of every stock...as they LOVE to talk about yesterdays winners only never discuss their DOGS...they have MORE dogs than winners.
Good luck on your homework..KNOW WHY you are selling also !!!

I want to thank you for your comments regarding my desire to be helpful. I know that Saleem believes in all of us helping each other and that is one of the reasons that he created this blog. I would also like to say for the record, that I am only a two year trader. I have made many mistakes and my profitability record is not a shining example of success. I have been relying on Saleem's council in order to improve, by submitting to wiser traders than myself. Saleem also created this blog to share his 40 years in the market, which have given him a keen eye on reading the tape. It has also given him experience as to how to deal with bad trades... that we all realize once in a while (for me its more like twice in a while LOL). I cancelled my MB info a long time ago. I still go and read info but I cant post and I love it that way because I don't get seduced into making comments to anonymous people who are generally mean spirited. Saleem, you tamed the CMED board into THE best MB of them all. I go there to read posts sometimes (especially when I am trading CMED). But now I read the boards for info on stocks that I am in, but mostly my home is here. I just don't waste the time anymore and I have found my trading is much better since I stopped posting at MB's. Also, I used to say some pretty outrageous stuff myself. I have changed inside and I no longer even know the guy that I was. I am glad to have lost that old self. This board is full of ladies and gentlemen, who are treating all with respect and dignity. Also, there is lots of help here and good solid information exchange that can actually help to make money. I am proud of the people that visit this board and behave so well. I am also glad to have the resources that I have found here. My compliments to all who share this blog and police themselves, rather than dump the worlds attitudes on everyone like the MB's. Hurray for a little human dignity. LOL.
